An opportunity is available for an experienced Integration & Software Engineer to join a NSW Government organisation on a contract basis for up to 18 months. This role will play a key part in supporting the rollout of an upcoming waste collection contract, with a strong focus on systems integration, CRM platforms and business automation.
You'll work closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure Council CRM, data and corporate systems are seamlessly integrated and aligned with business requirements. You'll also have exposure to a range of other projects supporting essential public services.
The role is based in Picton, with hybrid working options considered.
The role
* Design, develop and maintain integrations between core corporate systems and waste management platforms
* Lead CRM and data system integration to support the new waste collection contract
* Act as the primary escalation point for waste system-related issues with external vendors
* Provide 3rd level support across corporate systems
* Engage with stakeholders to gather, document and prioritise requirements
* Manage multiple workstreams in a project-driven environment with competing priorities
* Translate technical issues into clear, practical language for non-technical users
* Drive change from manual processes to automated, system-based solutions
* Support continuous improvement and high levels of customer satisfaction
* Assist the wider IT team as required
About you
* Degree in Information Technology, relevant certifications, or equivalent industry experience
* 5+ years' experience in a similar Integration or Software Engineering role
* 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Power Platform
* 2+ years' experience in Salesforce development
* 2+ years' experience integrating systems using APIs
* Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
* Comfortable operating in complex environments and solving challenging technical problems
