Where you'll be working
You will join a busy Emergency Department within a major regional referral hospital that provides comprehensive acute care services for Northern Tasmania. The department manages a diverse and high‐acuity case mix, including trauma, paediatrics, and complex medical and surgical emergencies, supported by all major inpatient specialties, a fully equipped ICU with ECMO capability, and 24‐hour interventional cardiology services. Registrars benefit from strong consultant presence with direct supervision across extended hours, alongside a highly structured training environment accredited for Emergency Medicine training pathways and supported by a committed FACEM group focused on education, mentorship, and clinical development.

Salary
Base salary starts from $134,930 – $189,005 per annum, pro rata, plus 12% superannuation and applicable allowances. Additional benefits include salary packaging options, relocation assistance, professional development leave, and fitness passport access.
The estimated total package ranges from approximately $150,000 – $210,000+ per annum depending on experience, classification level, and applicable allowances.
Requirements
Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with minimum Level 2 supervision requirements, OR eligibility for registration via the Competent Authority Pathway. SIMGs with partial comparability are welcome to apply.
