Your new role
You'll provide administrative and database support to patent attorneys. You'll manage correspondence, track key deadlines, and ensure accurate data entry across patent filings. You'll also liaise with clients, overseas associates, and patent offices.
This role suits experienced legal administrators. Law students or candidates seeking a pathway to a solicitor position will not be considered.
- Preparing and sending mail, emails, and faxes
- Scanning and filing documents accurately
- Entering and updating case details, deadlines, and publication data
- Generating standard correspondence and invoices using templates
- Managing attorney reminders and ensuring deadlines are met
- Providing executive support, including diary management and travel bookings
- Liaising with clients, overseas associates, and patent offices
- Assisting with reception relief and general admin tasks
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an Intellectual Property firm is essential.
- Fast, accurate data entry and strong written communication
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confidence working independently and in a team
- Familiarity with document management and client systems
