We are looking for someone to run the floor, conduct the orchestra.
The Role
This is the senior front of house leadership role and a fully hands on position. Co-ordinating with General Manager and Head Chef on the day to day operations, the strategic planning and enacting the vision set in place. The role is unique as it will straddle across normal cellar door duties and restaurant duties, ensuring high standards are kept in place for the venue
Responsibilities
Maintain culture and performance in venue
Keep standards high, ensure smooth flow of high turnover guests
Manage rostering of a small 3 staff team, re-stocking, discipline and cleanliness
Promote sales of produce and wine grown and made on site
Co-ordinate with GM/owner on reaching cost and sales KPI's
Skills you must bring
Proven experience leading a quality, busy hospitality venue
Strong people leadership and a passion for developing teams
Confident guest engagement and proactive service recovery skills
Full availability with an understanding of smart rostering
Ability to work 5 days per week with full availability required
Strong wine knowledge, Italian varietals an advantage
Intermediate sommelier level wine knowledge required
