Responsibilities
- Deliver quality, efficient, and effective family-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team, meeting the diverse needs of clients and their families.
- Evaluate maternity care in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes for women and their families.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and changing client status to ensure safety and quality of care.
- Contribute to quality healthcare through lifelong learning, professional development, and participation in research and policy development.
- Complete thorough documentation of midwifery care, progress reports, and referrals using prescribed systems to ensure comprehensive patient records.

Requirements of the Midwife
- Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery or Bachelor of Midwifery
- Ability to obtain registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Completion of a midwifery graduate year or equivalent experience
- Victorian Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for consumers
- Clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
