A large private manufacturing business in Brisbane's western suburbs is seeking a Payroll officer to join their team. This position is for a 6 month contract in which they are seeking extra assistance and support while they go through a system migration.
Working along side and supporting two senior payroll officers your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Processing weekly and monthly payment runs
- Ensuring invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Calculate payroll tax, adjustments, terminations, allowances, redundancy, shifts etc.
- Implementation of multiple awards
- Managing and supporting internal and external stakeholder queries in line with process and policy
- Data entry
To be successful in this role you will ideally have 1-2 years of experience in a reasonable payroll setting and be able to commit to the duration of 6months. You must be task focused, have excellent communication skills and be a strong problem solver. The ability to multi-task and take initiative is also required to be successful.
