The Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Catering Assistant to join our busy kitchen team across Bayside Area Melbourne and Northern Suburbs Melbourne. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering great food and service.
The Position
* Assist with daily food preparation and service
* Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other fresh menu items
* Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
* Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times
* Support kitchen operations in high-volume periods
* Manage stock and minimise waste
The Person
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Catering Assistant or in a similar role
* Experience working in aged care facilities – essential
* Monday to Friday availability – essential
* Working With Children Check (WWCC) – essential
* Aged care vaccination – essential
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Intermediate knowledge of food safety and food handling
* A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
