Slewrig Constructions is seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Perth, WA. After the Christmas break as a Crane Operator/Rigger (when there is no Crane Operating tasks), you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of construction equipment, ensuring the successful completion of projects. This full-time role is an integral part of our construction operations, with opportunities to grow and develop your career within our dynamic organisation.
What you'll be doing
Safely and competently operate a range of crane equipment, mobile cranes, to lift and move materials and equipment on construction sites
Conduct pre-operational checks and maintain crane equipment in good working order
Interpret load charts, lift plans and other technical documentation to ensure safe and compliant crane operations
Communicate effectively with site supervisors, riggers and other team members to coordinate crane activities
Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and Slewrig's policies and procedures
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
What we're looking for
Formal qualification as a certified Crane Operator – preferably with a CO qualification but will accept a C6 qualification, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
Demonstrated ability to safely operate a variety of crane equipment, Pick and Carry Franna Cranes and all-terrain mobile cranes
Strong working knowledge of crane load charts, lift planning and safe rigging practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to all relevant regulations and safety protocols
A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to continuously learn and improve your skills
