About the role
This full-time Experianced Excavator Operator role is an exciting opportunity to join the JSC Group in Canberra, ACT. Reporting to the Construction Site Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of excavation equipment on our construction sites. This role is crucial in ensuring our projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
What you'll be doing
* Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to excavate, load, and move materials on construction sites
* Carry out pre-start checks and inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition
* Provide input on equipment maintenance and repair requirements
* Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
* Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate excavation activities
* Maintain detailed records of work completed and equipment usage
What we're looking for
* Minimum 4 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry
* Final Trip experience
* Excellent operating skills and the ability to use a range of excavation equipment
* Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations
* Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the construction crew
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
