Job Title: Accounts Receivable Officer
Job Description:
The Accounts Receivable Officer will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate issue of invoices and statements to support efficient collections. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Issue Accounts Receivable invoices and statements for debtors' accounts.
* Create, review, and maintain debtor accounts to ensure data integrity.
* Distribute invoices, debtor statements and reports, and reconciliations internally as required. Following up with investigation and/or guidance where appropriate.
* Assist in the debt recovery collection process in accordance with the Debt Recovery policy to facilitate timely payment.
* Participate in the delivery of coaching to build the awareness and skill of key staff across Council in relation to debt management best practice and the best use of supporting systems.
* Respond to written, telephone, and counter enquiries regarding debtor accounts and debt recovery issues.
* Investigate credit balances on debtor accounts and where appropriate facilitate refunds in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Certificate III in Office/Business Administration or substantial equivalent experience in Finance/accounts receivable functions of a large organisation.
* A Class C Drivers Licence.
* Proof of Australian residency or citizenship.
