We are seeking an experienced and reliable Mining All-round Operator to join our site operations team. This role is responsible for supporting daily mining activities across excavation, loading, haulage, and general field operations.
The successful candidate will be a versatile operator who can work across multiple types of mobile equipment and assist with ore and waste separation, ROM pad management, material movement, and general site productivity. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is safety-focused, flexible, and capable of working in a small, multi-skilled mining team.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate a range of mobile equipment such as excavators, loaders, haul trucks, and other support machinery
* Carry out ore and waste separation in line with site instructions and grade control requirements
* Assist with ROM pad management, ore stockpile movement, and waste dump placement
* Support loading, short-distance haulage, and general material handling activities
* Work closely with site management and geology personnel to follow mining plans and site priorities
* Complete pre-start inspections, routine equipment checks, and basic daily care of machinery
* Report equipment faults, operational issues, and safety concerns in a timely manner
* Maintain a high standard of safety, housekeeping, and teamwork on site
Requirements
* Previous experience in mining, quarrying, or heavy equipment operations
* Ability to operate two or more types of mobile plant is highly desirable
* Experience in open pit mining, hard rock mining, or small-scale gold operations is an advantage
* Strong safety awareness and practical field-based problem-solving ability
* Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
* Relevant operating tickets and a valid driver’s licence preferred
