TyreSense by RIMEX is a comprehensive tire Temperature and Pressure Monitoring System designed for mining and industrial applications. This system offers controller units, sensors, and a range of complementary products including an inflation/deflation station (IDX), and more, allowing custom-tailored TPMS solutions for single vehicles or fleet operations. The system also includes TPMS and Asset Management software solutions for operations of all sizes and types from single operator-controlled heavy machine equipment to large autonomous vehicle fleets.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to oversee two electronics production operations in Victoria & Langley. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production workflows, maintaining quality standards, and leading cross-functional teams across both sites. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, and the ability to manage multiple operations simultaneously.
The key responsibilities of this position include leading and coordinating production activities across two manufacturing sites, ensuring consistent output to meet delivery schedules, cost targets, and product quality standards, optimizing production processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput, monitoring KPIs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.), supervising and supporting production supervisors, team leads, and technicians across both locations, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work culture, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
The Production Manager will also work closely with supply chain, engineering, quality, and R&D to support new product introductions and resolve production issues, plan and allocate resources (materials, labor, equipment) effectively across both operations, coordinate production schedules to align with customer demand and inventory goals, ensure adherence to quality control procedures and industry standards (e.g., ISO, IPC), lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production defects and process issues, maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
The Production Manager will also prepare and present regular reports on production performance, challenges, and improvement plans, serve as a key liaison between site-level teams and upper management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field, and at least 6-8 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a multi-site or senior supervisory role.
Key qualifications for this position include strong leadership and team-building abilities, proficiency in production planning, resource management, and lean manufacturing tools, excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production software tools, and the ability to travel frequently between production sites.
