The opportunity
IFYS has an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator to join the Specialist Homeless Service team.
The Coordinator provides daily onsite leadership to the team within the IFYS adult Specialist Homeless Service and the Emergency Relief Program.
Reporting to the Operations Manager – Housing & Accommodation Services, this role ensures that service delivery is responsive to the evolving needs of residents, promotes contemporary best practice within the team, and contributes to the broader strategic direction of the organisation.

Key responsibilities
* Provide supervision, mentoring and support to staff, students and volunteers
* Promote teamwork, respect and a culture of continuous learning and improvement
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and services, across a variety of sectors
* Manage all aspects of the program including oversight of the temporary accommodation and support needs of clients
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative duties, human resources functions, reporting of service delivery performance indicators, and finance requirements and reporting
* Maintain culturally safe, trauma informed, therapeutic practice framework for both staff and clients
Skills and requirements
* Experience as a Coordinator in Homelessness or similar
* Proven ability to lead and mentor a team
* Exceptional relationship-building skills with stakeholders
* Strong administrative and organisational abilities
* A high level of computer and systems literacy
* Tertiary qualification in a related field (desirable)
Essential requirements
* A QLD Working with Children Blue Card or have applied for one
* Current valid QLD driver's license with no restrictions
* As part of our recruitment process we do a number of history screenings including a Licensed Care Suitability check (LCS2) and a National Crime Check
Other requirements
* If progressed after interview stage, you will be requested to provide the details of two line managers to provide reference checks (this must include your current employer)
