About The Role As a Paralegal, you’ll work closely with lawyers on active matters, gaining practical legal experience while studying and insight into how law operates within a major national organisation. You’ll be supported through mentoring from experienced lawyers across the ABC and the broader legal profession. Your Responsibilities Will Include Supporting legal research, case preparation and litigation processes Assisting on media law matters including defamation, contempt, intellectual property, freedom of information and suppression orders Drafting correspondence, legal summaries and internal guidance materials Reviewing documents, organising evidence and maintaining accurate case files Working with different ABC Legal teams, including pre-publication, technology, commercial and regulatory areas Supporting training materials and broader team initiatives About You This role is suited to law students who are curious about media law, keen to learn, and looking to build confidence through real-world experience. You don’t need to know everything, we’re looking for potential, motivation and commitment.
