Overview
Senior Stakeholder Engagement and Government Relations Officer (EA2025/180) – ACCC, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
What you will do
* Contribute to executive support for the Chair, Board and CEO for external engagement including identifying priority issues and coordinating relevant briefing material and advice.
* Provide advice and support to other areas of the ACCC about best practice stakeholder engagement as part of ongoing project work that promotes proactive engagement with a broad range of external stakeholders including government, industry and consumer groups to achieve strategic objectives.
* Engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders to support external facing obligations and engagements, including participation in parliamentary processes (such as Senate Estimates and Inquiries).
* Work with staff across the agency to improve access to consumer insights (panels, focus groups, etc.), including leading secretariat support for the Customer Consultative Group.
About You
* A well-developed understanding or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the energy sector, and an understanding of the role, purpose and objectives of the ACCC/AER.
* Demonstrated strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement, including contributing to engagement activities and plans.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public policy, government, law, economics or related fields are highly desired.
Work Arrangements
Role can be performed at any ACCC/AER office location in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney and is available on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis. Salary: $99,562 - $111,590 (plus 15.4% superannuation).
