CNC Operator / Edge Bander / Wood Machinist – Western Sydney | Full-Time / Casual VP Recruit is currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator / Wood Machinist with strong edge banding experience to join a busy and growing joinery/manufacturing environment in Western Sydney. This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience in cabinet making, shopfitting, or factory-based joinery , looking for stable, long-term work. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC machines (routing, cutting, drilling) for cabinetry and joinery components Operate edge bander machines (automatic/manual) ensuring high-quality finishes Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and cutting lists Operate woodworking machinery including panel saws, beam saws, drills, and planers Perform pick packing, assembly, and material handling as required Monitor production quality and minimise waste Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment What We’re Looking For: Proven experience as a CNC Operator, Wood Machinist, Cabinet Maker, or Factory Hand (Joinery) Strong experience with edge banding machines Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately Experience in cabinet making, shopfitting, or furniture manufacturing Physically fit and capable of manual handling Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Nice to Have): Experience with CNC programming (G-code) Knowledge of Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar CAD/CAM software Forklift licence (LF) What We Offer: Competitive hourly rates based on experience Weekly pay (TFN or ABN options available) Ongoing work with long-term opportunities Monday to Friday schedule Work with reputable joinery and manufacturing companies
