Job Description - Teacher Personal Development, Health & Physical Education - Karabar High School ($20K Recruitment Bonus plus $5K to $8K Relocation Support Package)
Karabar High School is a partially Selective High school on Ngambri and Ngunnawal lands in Queanbeyan, in the border region of NSW and the ACT. The school has a current enrolment of 723 students in years 7-12, including 14.94% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and 3.73% English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D).
Karabar High School is committed to high expectations and opportunities for all. The school provides an inclusive and supportive environment that allows each student to develop to their potential with an academically selective stream Years 7-10, a Performing Arts stream in Stage 4 and six special education classes (MC, IM and Tutorial).
Responsibilities and Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to teach PD/Health/PE and Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation/Physical Activity and Sports Studies. They will need to have highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with teachers, students, parents and the community.

- Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and to plan and implement differentiated teaching and learning programs to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students.
Conditions
Successful applicants may be entitled to a Recruitment Bonus of $20,000 (Conditions Apply). The Recruitment Bonus will be paid on a pro rata basis for permanent part time teachers and executive staff. A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
