Your Opportunity: The Financial Accountant is responsible for providing effective and accurate financial support to the business by maintaining operational expenses, balance sheet reconciliations and the associated accounting functions. Preparation of general journals and accruals with associated supporting documentation Ownership and accountability for employment‑related accounting entries, including payroll, employee provisions (leave, bonuses), superannuation and other related accruals Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations and related follow up Investigation into reconciling items and analysis of general ledger balances Review of weekly Payment runs Preparation of GST/VAT returns and management of related queries Assisting with Audit and other Statutory related queries Ad-hoc financial investigation and analysis as required Adherence to month end and other regulatory timelines We are looking for the below skillset and experience: Bachelor of Commerce/Business or other related discipline Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment CA/CPA qualified Thorough reconciliation experience and strong technical accounting skills Understanding of Accounting Standards, regulations and guidelines as they apply to the role High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong Excel skills Ability to analyse financial information Experience in the use of finance systems (Oracle would be advantageous) Retail accounting experience desirable Our Benefits and Perks : Enjoy these perks when you join Lovisa!
