Deliver Crisis Care That Changes Lives! Join the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Service (MHAODS) with the North West Hospital and Health Service and deliver acute mental health and alcohol and other drug care across North West Queensland.
Responsibilities
* Provide acute mental health and AOD assessment, crisis intervention and short-term evidence-based treatment
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and continuity of care
* Deliver culturally safe and responsive services, including engagement with First Nations communities
* Contribute to clinical governance, patient safety and continuous quality improvement
Working with us
* Eligible health practitioners accrue additional professional development leave per annum (total of six days per annum).
* Eligible health practitioners in designated remote areas may be entitled to a professional development allowance of $3,512 per annum.
* Rural and Remote incentive: Category D allowance of $431.22 per fortnight.
* Transfer and appointment expenses may be negotiated.
Requirements
* Mandatory requirements: a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* Pre-employment screening including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
* Working with Children Check prior to appointment.
* A period of probation may apply.
