About The Role

Albury Wodonga Health is recruiting Staff Specialists to support the Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) in Wodonga and Wangaratta.
The role involves clinical service delivery, multidisciplinary supervision, case-management oversight, and teaching across medical, nursing, and allied health students.
Candidates will also provide specialist supervision to fellows, registrars and junior medical officers.
Responsibilities
Provide direct clinical care to adults and youth in community mental health and acute inpatient settings.
Supervise, support and direct multidisciplinary ICYMHS teams.
Ensure continuity of care and promote effective admission, discharge and case-management practices.
Deliver clinical teaching to medical, nursing, and allied health students and other trainees.
Contribute to clinical teaching and professional development within the service.
Assist with on-call rota, including weekday and weekend shifts.
Mandatory Requirements
Registered or eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Experience providing direct clinical care in community mental health and acute inpatient settings.
Experience in clinical supervision for other health professionals.
Understanding of contemporary clinical mental health service provision in Australia.
Understanding of, and ability to apply, the Mental Health Act ****.
Accredited in Victoria to perform ECT (or willingness to achieve accreditation).
Willingness to participate in a shared weekday and weekend on-call roster.
