The role of Digital Content Developer is to support the development and maintenance of a SharePoint-based formal document management system.
This involves converting technical, process-driven documents into webpages and other interactive digital content. The focus is on producing high-quality digital content in line with established development processes from specification documents.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining and developing content in SharePoint that supports Commission staff to effectively interact with business units.
* Assisting in content publication, including creating, editing, reviewing, and archiving digital content, ensuring consistency in presentation and branding.
* Cultivating Commission documentation and the team's digital asset library.
* Developing site maps and page templates.
* Contributing to documenting the team's processes.
* Responding to Service Desk requests and incidents.
* Managing cross-functional workflows and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Essential requirements:
* Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical information to produce engaging digital content in the form of web pages on SharePoint sites.
* Ability to estimate time to complete technical requirements and report effectively.
* Effective communication skills, including building productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and presenting complex technical functions.
* Strong technical skills in SharePoint, Visio, and DevOps, or demonstrated aptitude in learning new technologies.
* Ability to analyze digital content for quality and accuracy.
Desirable requirements:
* Advanced knowledge of SharePoint site administration.
* Knowledge of SharePoint content management and creation.
* Project Management skills and DevOps/Agile methodologies.
