Position Overview
The Data and Digital Group provides the data, infrastructure and systems to underpin the Bureau's core operations, from measurement and collection through to production and dissemination. The Group ensures that data is managed at a whole-of-enterprise level along the full value chain from the observations network through to the high-performance computation needed to generate forecasts and downstream products and services. The Group also supports the delivery of products and services to customers through a range of digital channels and platforms and aim to deliver an exceptional customer experience for our colleagues and customers by providing specialised expertise and support.
We are seeking an experienced Digital Data Analyst to join our Digital Analytics Team within the Application Services team through reporting to Digital Analytics Manager.
The Applications Services program delivers, modernise, and sustain applications that are secure, scalable, and aligned with the enterprise strategy for the wider Bureau and its customers. Through automation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, we enable reliable, innovative solutions to support long-term business outcomes and customer value.
This important role will help the Bureau to deliver services that meet customer needs. You will have previously worked in similar roles with demonstrated capacity to identify and communicate business insights derived from in-depth analysis of complex datasets.
As a Digital Data Analyst, you bring creativity and data-driven skills, creating data visualisations that bring digital narrative to life.
To be considered for this role you have proven experience in using digital and data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, BigQuery, Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) analytics such as SAP and data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Google Looker Studio deriving actionable insights by combining information from different datasets. You will be proficient in SQL, Python or R in addition to data and platform analytics technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and SAP.
You must also have prepared analytics reports and dashboards for business stakeholders and senior executives and demonstrated effective communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills. You can demonstrate how you have effectively worked within a cross functional team including designers, developers and product owners.
