The role of a Child Health Nurse requires delivering culturally sensitive care to Aboriginal children and their families in the Albury Wodonga region.
This position involves working with multidisciplinary teams to provide first-class, holistic healthcare.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Delivering home visiting programs to families with newborns
* Conducting health surveillance and screening for children aged 0–6
* Supporting parenting through education, counseling, and group sessions
* Promoting early intervention and health promotion
* Collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver integrated care
* Participating in immunisation programs
* Advocating for culturally safe healthcare practices and environments
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
* Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health Nursing (or equivalent)
* Desirable: Midwifery registration and postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health
* Experience working with Aboriginal communities and a commitment to community development
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
* Current driver's licence and clearances (WWCC, Police Check)
