Our client, a well-established and successful food production company, requires an enthusiastic and dedicated food safety professional to provide training, advice and support for the team to ensure high food safety standards are maintained across the business. The role can be either Full Time or Part Time.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving and overseeing the food safety system across the business and implementing changes, process improvements, procedures, compliance and training to ensure the business's food safety culture is continuously improving
- Ensure adequate Food Safety Supervisor accreditations in each site and across the business;
- Pro-actively assist staff with on-the-job training to ensure all process are followed and documented as required.
- Provide advice, support and in-depth hands-on training to develop skills and confidence in the team to effectively manage food safety and risk prevention in their respective areas of responsibility.
- Pro-actively address performance issues, by identifying areas of non-conformance, their root cause, and supporting preventative actions.
- Investigate, report, and analyse customer complaints, including food quality allegations and other safety investigations and supplier non-conformances.
- Ensure that labelling is compliant including but not limited to nutritional information and food allergens;
- Interact with local and state regulators;
- Report to the Operations Team;
**About You**
You will be a self-motivated professional who is able to coach effectively through strong communication and engagement skills and a solid record of achieving results through engagement, training and compliance.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in food safety or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine desire to engage and help people
- Solution focused and action orientated with the capability to meet deadlines and support continuous improvement
- Previous exposure to the retail or food manufacturing industries is preferable
