Care1 is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Registered Nurses to provide care and support to clients living in our brand new, purpose built SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) housing in Macquarie Park.

The specifics: 24/7 supports with shifts available in the AM, PM and active overnight shifts on a casual or permanent part-time basis with ongoing shifts available.

About the Role
Provide high level support to clients to ensure that personal and rehabilitation goals outlined in the care plan are being met to best practice standards with the aim of improving quality of life and generating positive outcomes.
You'll ensure optimal comfort for our clients by assisting with activities of daily living and other care as determined by the needs and the care plans of the clients we support.
Due to the nature and complexity our clients disability, candidates must have relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting clients with high complexity clinical needs
Clinical management: PEG management and feeding, manual handling, tracheostomy and ventilation management, suction and airway management
Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance, bowel care
Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress
Social Activities: transporting clients to their appointments, shopping, any planned social activity
Nursing Registration with AHPRA
Experience in tracheostomy and ventilation management, suctioning and airway management and manual handling.
Right to Work in Australia (such as passport, birth certificate etc).
National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Check (NDISWC)
Working with Children Check
Desirable Criteria (Training can be provided)
Experience providing complex care (catheter care, wound management, acquired brain injury, dysphagia, behaviour support, bowel care).
Previous community nursing experience is an advantage along with a genuine desire to support people with disabilities to live a higher quality of life will be highly regarded.
