Location: Jilalan (Sarina)
Remuneration: As per EA commencing 90k whilst training, $150k once qualified.
About the role:
Aurizon's Jilalan depot is seeking expressions of interest from safety focused individuals who would like undertake training to become a locomotive driver. To excel in this position you will relish to opportunity to learn new skills and put into practice what you are taught in the classroom to become a professional train operator.
* 24x7 rotating shift roster 365 days a year including nights, weekends and public holidays
* Apply theoretical knowledge from training to practical operation
* Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
* Undertake Locomotive driver training and successfully complete modules within six months
About you:
* All-encompassing focus on safety along with great interpersonal skills
* Superior teamwork skills
* Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster
* Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence
* Be available to commence July 2026 and not have any prior commitments for the first 9 months of the training program.
