About the Role:
* The role supports the Assets and Infrastructure team with project delivery, focusing on replacing damaged assets post flood event, building resilience against natural disasters, including roads, bridges, landslips, drainage and associated road transport infrastructure.
* The position is responsible for supporting the team on environmental approvals' pathways, preparing assessments, liaising with operational staff and contractors, and ensuring environmental conditions of approval are met.
* The role advises on Historic Heritage, Aboriginal Heritage, Fisheries or other relevant approval pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare Review of Environmental Factors (REFs)
* Advise on conditions and mitigation measures
* Prepare determination notices
* Review consultant REFs and documentations
* Support projects to comply with approval notices consistent with NPWS legislation and policies
Requirements:
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Environmental planning and assessment and environmental management
* Experience in project management
* Current Australian driver's licence
