Job Description:
We are seeking a senior communications professional to lead our media and communications strategy.
This role involves shaping, protecting, and amplifying our reputation across all media and communication channels. You will develop and execute integrated media, public relations, and communications strategies that bring our for-purpose mission to life.
You will lead in articulating a transformation agenda to both external stakeholders and employees, and position the business for long-term growth while strengthening its corporate brand and reputation within the investor community over the medium term.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership
2. Develop and implement a comprehensive media and communications strategy aligned with our corporate strategy and transformation program;
3. Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Executive Team on reputation management, media engagement, and communications risks;
4. Ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external channels.
5. Media Relations
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, industry media, and influencers;
7. Lead proactive and reactive media engagement, ensuring timely, accurate, and strategic responses;
8. Oversee media monitoring, reporting, and analysis to inform strategy and mitigate reputational risk.
9. Corporate Communications
10. Drive the corporate narrative, ensuring alignment with brand values and positioning for potential investors or acquirers;
11. Lead the creation of high-quality content including press releases, speeches, thought leadership, and executive communications;
12. Manage crisis communications planning and execution, ensuring preparedness for reputational challenges.
13. Digital & Social Media
14. Develop communications campaigns that enhance brand visibility, client engagement, and thought leadership;
15. Monitor digital trends and emerging platforms to ensure we remain relevant and competitive.
16. Internal Communications
17. Partner with Legal, HR and Transformation teams to deliver clear, engaging internal communications that support cultural change and employee engagement;
18. Ensure employees are informed, inspired, and aligned with the strategy and transformation journey.
19. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications team;
20. Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement;
21. Manage external agencies and consultants to deliver best-in-class communications support.
