OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR FOR STOCK & STATION AGENCY
Butt Livestock & Property is a family owned and operated Livestock & Real Estate business based in Yass NSW. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of service to our clientele, are passionate about Livestock and actively support the local community.
We are currently seeking a suitable Livestock Administration person for a permanent position.
Roles and Responsibilities
This role offers the opportunity to develop skills and grow within the livestock and administration industry while supporting the day-to-day operations of livestock account sales and purchases. The successful applicant will work closely with the team and receive support and training across the following responsibilities:
* Assisting with accurate livestock data entry and the processing of sales and purchases
* Supporting the coordination and completion of weekly SELX sheep and cattle sales
* Providing assistance on SELX sale days, including livestock handling and record keeping
* Supporting the administration and daily operations of the secondary office located at SELX
* Assisting remotely with stud stock sales and clearing sales
* Providing administrative support to livestock agents, with opportunities to assist in the field when required
* Assisting with daily banking, account reconciliations, and cash flow management
* Processing accounts receivable and accounts payable under guidance and established procedures
* Supporting payroll and superannuation compliance processes
* Assisting with financial systems to help ensure timely client payments and effective debtor management
* Maintaining accurate financial and operational records for weekly and monthly reporting
* Performing general office administration duties, including data entry, document preparation, filing, record keeping, telephone enquiries, and responding to emails
* Assisting with advertising livestock sales across software programs, website and social media platforms
This position provides opportunities for ongoing development and career growth within the business and livestock industry
Desirable, but Not Essential
* Previous experience using Xero for accounts and payroll
* Experience with weekly and monthly financial accounting and reporting
* An understanding of sheep and cattle types, livestock sales, and industry operations
Remuneration will be based on the successful applicant's level of experience, financial management capabilities, and industry knowledge.
