Job Description About the Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Open Cut Mining Warehouse Supervisor/Inventory Controller to lead our Supply team at Rolleston Open Cut. This critical role supports the successful delivery of warehousing and inventory management functions across site, ensuring safety, service excellence, and operational efficiency are upheld every day. Reporting to the Supply Superintendent, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, coach and develop team members, and drive continuous improvement across inventory procurement, inventory control, and logistics. Your ability to lead from the front, adapt to changing priorities, and ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards will be key to your success. As a core member of our commercial leadership team, you will: Champion safety and operational discipline within the warehouse environment; Lead a team of Supply Officers, setting clear expectations and building capability; Oversee inventory accuracy and stock availability to support mining operations; Monitor and improve supplier performance, freight logistics, and delivery schedules; Support SAP process compliance and promote data integrity across transactions; Foster a collaborative culture that values accountability, respect, and teamwork. This is a hands-on role suited to a confident and organised leader who thrives in a fast-paced mining environment and understands the importance of strong supply chain support in achieving site productivity. About you To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of strong technical expertise, proven leadership, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic mining environment. Specifically, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Risk Management, Supply Chain Logistics); Proven experience in supplier and vendor performance management; Recent/relevant experience in a similar supervisory role; Advanced proficiency in SAP, with a deep understanding of procurement and inventory processes; Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence and build rapport across all levels of the business; A collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally; Resilience under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
