A Curtains and Blinds are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual who would like to take the lead and assist our showroom clients with their colours and selections for window furnishings.

You will be looking after a diverse range of clients - from builders to architects, interior designers and residential clients looking for a home refresh.

Our showroom is located at 29 Township Drive Burleigh Heads.

Day to day you will be

* Educating clients about the different window furnishing types and options

* Assisting with showing and suggesting fabric and product choices

* Answering phones with exceptional phone manner

* Answering emails with professionalism and good grammar / spelling

* A good team player who interacts well with and supports other staff members

* Problem solving client issues

* Doing general showroom maintenance including returning stock to shelves, light cleaning, tidying and daily preparation

* Preparing and cutting fabric samples to give to clients

* Jumping in wherever needed to support the sales team with various tasks (booking in clients, reminders, sending samples, moving appointments, photocopying etc)

* Handling sales transactions via phone or face to face

* Learning to provide basic quotations - leading into growth and development towards eventually learning more complex quoting

* Maintaining social media - basic social media updates including Instagram posts, responding to clients, adding photos of completed work as required

* General administrative tasks as required (stock checking, adding data to customer files)

Ideally candidates will be

* A confident communicator (customers love our easy going and friendly, informative approach)

* Have a good eye for colours and current trends

* Be prepared to multi task and jump in and help wherever needed

* Show attention to detail

* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel (very basic skills only), Outlook Calender (or willingness to learn).

WORKING HOURS

This is a permanent position for the right candidate with a weekly salary equating to $30 per hour. Holidays, sick leave and superannuation are all included as per the NES standards.

Optimally we would like permanent working hours of 8:45am to 3:15pm Monday to Friday which aligns with our showroom opening hours of 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.

Suitable applicants who prefer a full time week of 8am to 4pm (or similar) are still encouraged to apply.
