We are seeking a highly passionate, dynamic, and engaging Nurse Unit Manager within a mental health inpatient facility.
As a department Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide operational direction of the ward by ensuring efficient and effective fiscal management and promote high-quality clinical care for our patients. As the leader of this unit, you will be a key part of the hospital's management team and will provide support to the Director of Nursing and the General Manager.

The Victoria Clinic is currently a 115 patient-bed private psychiatric facility located on Malvern Road in Prahran.
This architecturally designed, purpose-built mental health facility specialises in the provision of high-quality inpatient mental health services.

As a Nurse Unit Manager - Mental Health, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
* Coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care
* Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family-centred care in a team-focused environment
* Providing guidance, mentoring, and support to your team
* Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial, and material resources
* Undertaking direct patient care, as required
* Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Essential Criteria:
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* Registered Nurse with at least 5 years' experience in inpatient mental health settings; Knowledge of NSQHS / ACHS Standards
* Understanding of HoNOS
* Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approach
* Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with diverse stakeholders
* Good knowledge of labour management
* Understanding of private health funding requirements
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A commitment to high standards of clinical and customer-focused care
* High computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases
* Ability to work cohesively within a team environment

If successful, you will receive a salary based on your relevant nursing experience aligned with the current nursing Enterprise Agreement, the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025".
