We're on the hunt for Full-Time and Part-Time Vet Nurses to join our Emergency & Critical Care team where every shift counts, every patient matters, and no two nights are ever the same.
At ARH Canberra, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with specialists in Medicine and Surgery and collaborate with our Rehabilitation department for truly holistic patient care. This is where skill meets heart and chaos meets calm.
Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional nursing care to emergency and hospitalised patients
* Support veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and emergency procedures
* Monitor patients, administer medications, and maintain accurate medical records
* Assist in surgical and critical care cases as required
* Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients during stressful situations
* Uphold hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures
* Contribute positively to team culture and knowledge sharing
Our ideal candidate will have
* A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
* Minimum 2+ years clinical experience (GP or Emergency)
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
* Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
* Commitment to professional growth and continuing education
