THE OPPORTUNITY
Matrix Steel is looking to appoint a full-time Truck Driver to join our Bundaberg Operations team. This role will require a hands-on person who is willing to operate our machinery when delivery days are quiet.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 6AM TO 2PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Review vehicle load sheets
* Secure load, prepare manifest and assist loading when required
* Deliver to customers and place onsite as required
* Capture pictures of items delivered for POD
* Maintain vehicle and driver logs
* Liaise with despatch and customers on delivery issues and delays
* Keep a clean truck at all times and ensure maintenance is up to date
* Operate machinery as required
* Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment
ABOUT YOU
* ESSENTIAL - HR License
* ESSENTIAL - Forklift Ticket
* DESIRABLE - Hiab Crane experience.
* Willingness to work local and regional runs
* Flexibility and willingness to operate machinery - we will train you!
* Effective problem solver who can develop solutions that meet the customers’ needs
* Good communicator, both written and verbal
* Enjoys working autonomously and as part of a team
* A passion to deliver excellent customer service
