Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Occupational Therapist specializing in telehealth services and firstly within the rural and regional footprint of our long term service provision. The Senior Occupational Therapist will assess and provide individualized therapeutic intervention plans with participants, focusing on enhancing their functional capabilities and meeting their specific goals. Responsibilities include offering virtual therapy sessions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, documentation of participant progress, and providing expert consultation for preferred specialty area of Paediatrics and/or Adult cohorts. The role requires engaging with key parties, long term referral partners, families and support networks to ensure holistic care delivery and support compliance with NDIS requirements.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation, and experience in Telehealth for a minimum of one year
* Strong understanding of social model of disability, culturally responsive assessments, and therapeutic practices relevant to occupational therapy
* Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams
* Proven ability to work independently in a remote, telehealth setting and pivot to team work collaboration
* Familiarity with NDIS protocols and procedures is an advantage
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with active professional registration
