- The position
- As a Supply Network Planner for Diageo, you will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and maximizing service levels. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including demand planning, procurement, production, logistics, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Key responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting and Analysis:
- Collaborate with the demand planning team to understand market trends, customer demand patterns, and promotional activities. Utilize statistical forecasting models and develop analytical tools to build accurate replenishment model to service demand forecasts. Conduct regular analysis of demand patterns, identify deviations, and recommend appropriate actions to optimize inventory levels.
- Supply Planning:
- Create and maintain the supply network plan, considering factors such as production capacities, lead times, inventory levels, and distribution requirements.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods. Monitor and manage inventory levels across the network to prevent stockouts and excess inventory situations.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Establish effective communication channels with internal stakeholders to align on supply chain priorities and objectives. Collaborate with demand partners, sales and marketing teams to gather market intelligence and customer insights for improved demand planning accuracy. Engage with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and optimize transportation costs.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Track and analyse key supply chain performance metrics, such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, and lead times. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and service level enhancement. Develop and implement supply chain optimization initiatives, including network optimization, inventory management techniques, and transportation optimization strategies.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in supply chain planning. Contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain planning tools and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy. Actively participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at improving overall supply chain performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, or a related field.-
- Proven experience (3 years) in supply chain planning, preferably in an FMCG or consumer goods environment.-
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions using excel, PowerBi and other tools-
- Proficiency in using supply chain planning software and tools - SAP APO, SAP ECC-
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.-
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.-
