We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Lead to work with our clients and build out cloud infrastructure and AI & agentic environments to power Kablamo's cutting-edge AI software and solutions.
The Role
Our Cloud Lead is a senior cloud professional with strong expertise and deep operational experience in deploying solutions at-scale on Google Cloud. They play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, applications and AI/agentic solutions for Kablamo's enterprise and government clients, as well as for Kablamo's internal software products. We're looking for cloud leads that are especially interested and well equipped to build out GCP environments to support Agentic & AI solutions.
As a Cloud Lead at Kablamo, you work as part of our cross-functional software and product development teams, to build out GCP cloud infrastructure foundations, including security, automation, networking, CICD, observability and more. These environments support and enable Kablamo's design and development of a range of applications and AI/agentic solutions, from inception and prototyping all the way through to production deployments at scale. Kablamo has a proud track record of successfully scaling production software and solutions to mega scale, including large and complex data sets and tens of thousands of concurrent users. Our cloud infrastructure underpins it all.
Importantly, our Cloud Leads mentor other team members, helping them develop their technical skills and expertise in GCP and cloud technologies. You will stay up to date with the latest advancements in Google Cloud and other cloud platforms, playing a key role in driving innovation within our team and for our clients. Kablamo is very supportive of GCP learning pathways, including training, partner engagement and both domestic and overseas conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designs and implements scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures on GCP. This includes networking, security, IAM, observability, automation, CICD, data platforms etc
* Leads the design, implementation, and operationalisation of Google Cloud and Agentic/AI solutions, including suite of AI/ML services such as Vertex AI
* Establish GCP postures and architecture to support AI governance, security, and responsible AI practices, including data privacy, access controls, and model risk management
* Define and implement GCP cloud infrastructure related to GenAI best practices, including CI/CD for models, monitoring, evaluation, performance and cost optimisation
* Evaluate emerging Google AI capabilities and recommend roadmap enhancements aligned with Kablamo's business strategy
* Lead enterprise-grade implementation of Gemini for Enterprise including configuration, connectors, lifecycle management, enabling the development of secure generative AI use cases
* Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless cloud integration and automation.
* Provide technical expertise and solutions in a pre-sales and consulting capacity, as required
* Work with Kablamo strategic partners (especially Google) to understand and implement cutting-edge solutions and partner best practices
* Contribute to building and maintaining a high-performance technical leadership team and GCP cloud practice for Kablamo
* Consistently demonstrate and advocate Kablamo's values internally and externally
Required skills and experience:
* Proven experience in architecting and deploying at-scale cloud infrastructure and solutions in GCP
* Deep expertise and understanding of Google Cloud services (networking, computing, data storage, identity & access, containers, machine learning, etc.)
* Knowledge of DevOps best practices, infrastructure as code (especially Terraform), GitOps, and security best practices.
* Developed end-to-end solution architecture for cloud-based applications and AI solutions
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools.
* Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and cost optimisation tools and techniques in GCP.
* Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Leadership and mentorship experience: Ability to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and guide technical decisions.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable skills and experience:
* Hold Professional-level Google Cloud certifications, such as GCP Cloud Architect
* Experience working in consulting roles, or specific industry experience in media or financial services
* Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
* Experience with AWS and/or Azure
* Open source contributions and engagement with the wider cloud community
