About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead our research contracting operations. As Manager, Research Legal, you will play a critical role in supporting our research community by providing expert legal advice and guidance on contracts and agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end process of research contracts and agreements, ensuring they meet our organizational standards and objectives.
- Assess and mitigate legal, reputational, and business risks through thorough due diligence.
- Collaborate with researchers, funding bodies, and partners to ensure contract alignment with funding rules, approvals, and stakeholder expectations.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate law qualification and current practising certificate.
- Extensive experience in contract law, preferably within a university or research setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures effectively.
