About the role
Join our team at Regal Rexnord as a full-time Mechanical Fitter in our Bennetts Green, NSW workshop. In this hands-on role, you will play a crucial part in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment, contributing to the smooth operation of our manufacturing business.
What you\'ll be doing
Perform skilled mechanical fitting work, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of gearboxes
Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to carry out fitting and adjustment tasks accurately
Disassemble, inspect, and diagnose issues with gearboxes, then carry out necessary repairs or replacements
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of equipment
Collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete complex projects
Maintain detailed records of work undertaken and report on any identified issues or recommendations for improvement
What we\'re looking for
Formal trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, with a minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in industrial machinery maintenance
Experience in strip, assess and assembly of fixed plant gear reducers
Can accurately use measuring equipment
Experience in laser alignment
Hold a Dogman and forklift ticket
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals
Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity, with the ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
Commitment to working safely and following all relevant health and safety procedures
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Willing to undertake occasional short term site work
Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
