We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Diesel Systems Engineer. This is a full-time opportunity based at our Head Office in Clayton, with frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and quality of the Bosch Diesel Service network. Key accountabilities include:
* Supporting the commissioning and service of Bosch test equipment within the Bosch Diesel network and independent workshop landscape.
* Providing technical support across the Bosch Automotive Aftermarket portfolio of parts, test equipment for Australian-based network dealers, distributors, and independent workshops.
* SUPPORTING THE AFTERMARKET SALES TEAM WITH TEST EQUIPMENT SALES & SUPPORT, AND DEVELOPING EXTERNAL SALES PATH OPPORTUNITIES.
* SUPPORT WITH THE INVESTIGATION OF WARRANTY PARTS ENQUIRIES AND REPAIRS.
The position responsibilities will include:
* PROMOTING BOSCH'S AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICAL TRAINING THROUGHOUT THE DEALER NETWORK.
* FOLLOWING UP ANY OUTSTANDING ACTIONS FROM QUALITY AUDITS WITHIN THE BOSCH DIESEL DEALER NETWORK.
* PROMOTING NEW EQUIPMENT RELEVANT TO SUPPORTING BOSCH DIESEL DEALER NETWORK REQUIREMENTS.
* PROMOTING AND ASSISTING WITH DIAGNOSTIC TEST EQUIPMENT ENQUIRIES AND SALES WHERE POSSIBLE.
* SUPPORTING SALES AND PROVIDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR DIESEL TEST EQUIPMENT PRODUCTS.
* WORKING WITH PRODUCT MANAGERS AROUND MONITORING AND REVIEWING WARRANTY RETURNS TO ENSURE RELEVANT INFORMATION IS RELAYED BACK TO THE APPROPRIATE BUSINESS UNITS FOR PRODUCT ANALYSIS, AND OR CORRECTIVE ACTIONS IN THE FIELD.
* PROVIDING REMOTE HOTLINE AND TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR THE BOSCH SERVICE NETWORK (BOSCH CAR SERVICE & BOSCH DIESEL CENTERS).
* PROVIDING TECHNICAL AND INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE TO SUPPORT MARKETING STRATEGIES.
* SUPPORTING THE AUTOMOTIVE AFTERMARKET TEAM WITH BOSCH DIESEL DEALER EQUIPMENT SALES & SUPPORT.
* REPRESENT BOSCH AT DIESEL INDUSTRY EVENTS AND DISTRIBUTOR FUNCTIONS.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certified Diesel Fuel Injection Engineer and/or significant experience within the diesel systems repair industry.
* Sound industry-based knowledge.
* Diesel system knowledge.
* Proficient in MS Office.
* BASIC SAP, CRM.
