If your portfolio's crept beyond where it should be—or you're managing volume instead of assessing claims—this is your cleaner reset.

The team and why it's different

This is a new Life Claims team being built off internal promotions and growth, not churn.

You're not stepping into someone else's backlog or patching a broken process—you're coming in with two other Seniors as the structure is being set.

Volumes sit below what most Senior Assessors carry, so you can actually read, think, and run claims properly instead of keeping your head above water.

You've got technical support and leadership that know the work, but you're trusted to make calls without second‐guessing.

What you'll actually be doing

* Managing Group IP and/or TPD claims end‐to‐end
* Owning liability, strategy and ongoing entitlement decisions
* Working through medical, vocational and psychological components
* Fronting conversations with treating doctors, employers and rehab providers

You won't be dragged into every borderline file—the expectation is you run your claims, not everyone else's.

How the set‐up works

* New team build: three Seniors hired together, not one dropped into an existing team
* Portfolios capped at a level that allows proper complex claim management
* Clear operating model and escalation pathways so you're not guessing who owns what
* Hybrid: 2–3 days Melbourne office, flexibility agreed up front

About you

You're already in Life Insurance Claims, working IP and/or TPD at Senior level or close.

You're comfortable running complex files end‐to‐end, back your judgement, and make calls on liability and entitlement.

You don't need hand‐holding—you just want lower noise and a structure that lets you do your job properly.

Applicants must be currently based in Australia with aligned Life Insurance Claims experience.
