About the Role
In this opportunity as Project Delivery Engineer your role will be to lead the delivery of mission-critical communications systems across complex radio and telecommunications environments. You will be hands-on in working with customers and external/internal technical teams taking projects from design through to installation, commissioning and handover — working with modern 2-way radio, IP networks and integrated comms systems.
Responsibilities
* Deliver radio and telecommunications projects from design to commissioning
* Prepare sites, integrate systems, perform testing and support final handover
* Translate client requirements into engineered, buildable solution
* Design, install and commission DMR, TETRA, P25 and PoC systems
* Support IP networking and system integration activities
* Review coverage predictions and contribute to system optimisation
* Produce high-quality technical documentation including:
* FAT / SIT / SAT procedures
* System configuration diagrams
* Rack layouts, cable schedules and as-builts
* Ensure all work complies with design specs, safety standards and ACMA regulations
* Lead and participate in FAT, SIT and SAT activities
* Champion a zero-incident safety culture
* Work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors and clients
* Resolve technical issues during delivery and commissioning
* Provide technical input into tenders, BOMs and solution design
Qualifications
* 5–7+ years in 2-way radio engineering or project delivery
* Hands-on installation and commissioning experience
* Development and completion of documentation such as PMIs, FAT, and SAT.
* Solid experience with DMR, TETRA, P25, PoC
* IP networking and system integration knowledge
* Ability to read, produce and review technical drawings
* Understanding of coverage analysis and radio design principles
* Familiarity with Motorola, Nokia, Cambium, Huawei or Tait (advantageous)
* MS Office, MS Visio (essential)
* AutoCAD, ATDI-HTZ, Global Mapper (preferred)
* Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
Required Skills
