This role is employed by Milestones International College, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering nationally recognised qualifications across Business, IT and Hospitality. The College is aligned to operate within the Australian VET regulatory framework and is positioned to deliver programs to both domestic and international students, including CRICOS-registered delivery. The organisation is entering a new phase focused on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and continued delivery of high-quality training and assessment.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Chief Executive Officer to lead the day-to-day operations, performance and quality of the RTO. This role combines operational leadership with oversight of compliance and training delivery, ensuring the organisation continues to perform at a high standard across all areas.
You will work closely with an experienced executive team, taking ownership of core RTO functions while also contributing to broader organisational direction, growth initiatives and industry engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day operations and performance of the RTO, ensuring high-quality training and assessment outcomes
* Oversee training delivery and assessment practices, maintaining alignment with industry expectations and regulatory standards
* Guide and support the organisation’s compliance framework in line with the Standards for RTOs 2025 and VET Quality Framework
* Work collaboratively with regulators and external stakeholders, supporting ongoing readiness and positive engagement
* Lead, mentor and develop trainers, assessors and RTO staff to ensure capability, currency and strong performance
* Oversee student administration systems including AVETMISS reporting, certification, USI and student records
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, systems and student experience
* Ensure effective student support practices that contribute to positive outcomes and engagement
* Maintain alignment between delivery practices and scope of registration
In addition, you will:
* Contribute to operational planning and organisational performance initiatives
* Support the development of industry relationships and stakeholder engagement
* Provide input into growth opportunities and new initiatives
* Work closely with the executive team to align RTO operations with broader organisational direction
About You
You are an experienced RTO professional with a strong understanding of how to operate and maintain a high-quality training organisation. You bring practical experience across training delivery, operations and compliance, and are confident working within a regulated environment. You are comfortable engaging at both an operational level and contributing to broader organisational direction. You are a collaborative leader who can guide teams, strengthen systems and support consistent performance across the organisation.
Essential Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in a senior role within an RTO (CEO, RTO Manager, Compliance Manager or similar)
* Experience supporting or leading RTO audits and working within regulatory frameworks (e.g. Australian Skills Quality Authority)
* Strong working knowledge of Standards for RTOs 2025, the National Code 2018 and associated regulatory requirements
* Experience overseeing staff, delivery models and assessment practices
* Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement practical, effective solutions
