Urgent Hiring! Finance Manager - Australian Experience Required
1. Compliance Review & Process Improvement
* Perform compliance reviews (workpapers, tax returns and financial statements) and ensure adherence to Australian tax and financial regulatory standards.
* Oversee compliance-related tasks, guiding and coaching team members to enhance output quality.
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to streamline compliance workflows.
2. Practice Management & Team Supervision
* Supervise the EDR Manila Team.
* Oversee practice management responsibilities, ensuring efficient operations and resource allocation.
* Manage administrative support staff reporting to this role to assist with operational efficiency.
* Conduct regular personal check-ins and monitor beginning-of-day and end-of-day reports from assigned staff.
3. Team Mentorship & Upskilling
* Provide mentorship to Senior Tax Accountants and Junior Team Leaders.
* Conduct one-on-one or group training sessions as assigned by the Leadership Team.
* Implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for underperforming team members.
5. Administrative & Ad Hoc Tasks
* Ensure smooth administrative operations by effectively managing support staff.
* Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Leadership Team.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
* CPA
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Australian compliance roles.
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax and accounting regulations.
* Proven ability to supervise teams and manage administrative support staff.
* Experience in client relationship management.
* Background in process improvement and operational efficiency.
* Proven experience in a managerial or senior operational role, ideally within accounting or professional services.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage client relationships, and implement operational improvements.
* Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, XPM, MYOB, QuickBooks, Zoho etc.
* Ability to oversee financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
* Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior leadership.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality service delivery.
* Proactive approach to business development, identifying growth opportunities, and fostering client relationships.
