About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our HR function 3 days a week.
Working closely with the Human Resources Coordinator, you'll play an important role in ensuring our people processes run smoothly, our records remain accurate, and our employees receive professional, timely, and confidential HR support.
This hands-on and varied position will see you involved in all aspects of HR administration, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, reporting, and employee relations support.

Key responsibilities
Assist with end-to-end recruitment including advertising, scheduling interviews, reference checking, and preparing documentation.
Support onboarding, induction, and employee file management.
Maintain accurate HR records, registrations, police checks, and compliance documentation.
Prepare employment-related correspondence such as contracts and change letters.
Assist with HR reporting, training compliance, and staff engagement activities.
Provide administrative support to the HR Coordinator and management team.
Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and alignment with Cooinda's Mission, Vision, and Values in all HR interactions.
About you

Essential skills and experience
Previous experience in HR administration or recruitment support.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
A professional, courteous, and positive approach to work.
Desirable
Experience in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
Previous experience in aged care or a not-for-profit environment.
Familiarity with HR software or HRIS systems (e.g., ELMO).
