About the Role
This is a broad, hands‐on role for someone who loves independent media and thrives without micromanagement. You will work closely with the host to keep the podcast running smoothly, the platforms growing and the content sharp.
You are someone who gets things done quietly and brilliantly — without needing the spotlight yourself.
You Will Be Responsible For
* End‐to‐end podcast production — scheduling, research, briefing, recording coordination and post‐production management
* Write episode notes, interview briefs and research summaries
* Manage and grow social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube; write captions, scripts and copy across all platforms in the host's voice
* Coordinate social media shorts, clips and content grabs from episodes
* Develop and manage a consistent content calendar with the social media manager
* Identify guest opportunities, story angles and trending topics in geopolitics and world affairs
* Coordinate a small team comprising video editor, designer, translator, social media manager, engagement manager and web developer
You Are
* A strong writer with a journalism, editorial, TV production or content background
* Experience in podcast or broadcast media production
* Experience managing social media platforms professionally
* Genuinely interested in geopolitics, world affairs and the Middle East
* Highly organised and self‐directed — you own your work
* A behind‐the‐scenes personality — motivated by the work, not the spotlight
* Comfortable working remotely and communicating asynchronously
* Reliable, discreet and deeply trustworthy
* Arabic language skills an advantage but not essential
