Responsibilities
* Perform structural design of telecommunications infrastructure, such as towers, monopoles, guyed masts, and rooftop structures
* Perform detailed structural analysis and modeling using specialised software like SpaceGass, MStower, Tedds and Checkpole
* Prepare, review, and certify engineering calculations, design reports, and specifications as per Australian standards
* Provide technical support to clients, internal colleagues, and junior engineers
* Contribute to the development of design guidelines and standards
Compliance & Quality
* Ensure designs and services are fit for purpose and comply with relevant codes and regulatory standards
* Conduct site inspections to monitor work and check conditions
* Demonstrate integrity and high personal and professional standards
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
* Communicate ideas and information effectively, both verbally and in writing
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education:
A degree in Structural Engineering is required.
Professional Registration:
CPEng and RPEQ.
Experience:
* Demonstrated a minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in the structural design and analysis of wireless telecommunications structures. At least one year of validity in professional registration.
* Fully familiar with Amplitel Deployment Rules, including the preparation and sign‑off of F01 and F04 forms.
Technical Proficiency:
* Sound understanding of Australian Standards related to telecommunication structures.
* Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SpaceGass, MStower, Tedds, Checkpole).
* Ability to prepare concept and detailed design drawings.
* Ability to provide a strengthening solution for the overloaded structures.
