Key Roles and Responsibilities
This role is pivotal in assessing, optimizing, and enhancing our data systems to drive strategic decisions. Your expertise will guide the analysis of business needs, the design of data models and architectures, and the implementation of reliable scalable data solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Evaluating existing systems to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for enhancement.
* Working with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data solutions.
* Leading or supporting the implementation of data systems, including configuration, customization, testing, and deployment.
* Developing and managing processes for integrating data from diverse sources, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and synchronization mechanisms.
* Implementing data quality assurance measures, including validation rules, cleansing procedures, and reconciliation mechanisms to ensure high-quality data.
* Assessing and optimizing data system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing strategies for scalability and efficiency.
* Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data systems, including technical specifications and user guides.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in a relevant field, such as data science, computer science, or information technology.
* A minimum of five years of experience in system analysis, design, and implementation, with a focus on data management and analytics.
* Expertise in data modeling, database design, SQL, and data integration technologies, including ETL tools and API integration.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Experience
While not essential, the following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data solutions for non-technical audiences.
* Solid understanding of data governance principles, data security best practices, and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
This role is expected to work 40 hours per week, provisioned until the end of June, with a strong likelihood of a 12-month extension.
