Key Responsibilities
Service Planning
Lead and monitor strategic planning for Mindspace, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and sector requirements.
Review and maintain policies and procedures in line with legislation, standards, and Mindspace/My Way values.
Service Delivery
Oversee Quality and Safeguards Commission obligations, including the portal, restrictive practices and PBS audit requirements.
Support My Way as an implementing provider to meet NDIS Practice Standards, including contributing to training and guidance.
Manage a small clinical caseload, delivering evidence-based positive behaviour support in home, school and community settings.
Ensure customer and family involvement in service planning and apply best-practice models to assess, implement and evaluate behaviour support interventions.
Leadership
Provide supervision, coaching and support to direct reports.
Work with the CEO and leadership team to guide staff development, address sector issues and maintain a safe, healthy workplace.
Management
Support recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development in partnership with People & Culture.
Maintain and update behaviour support documentation and templates in line with NDIS requirements.
Ensure staff understand organisational policies and work practices, and deliver internal training where needed.
Promote positive work culture, wellbeing, and effective teamwork.
Administration
Work with the CEO to manage financial obligations, funding requirements, budgets and audits.
Contribute to annual reporting and organisational planning activities.
Organisational Development
Participate in strategic planning, including goal-setting and service expansion considerations.
Support a professional, ethical workplace culture and ensure operations align with financial and strategic priorities.
Workplace Health & Safety / Equal Opportunity

Work with People & Culture to ensure WHS systems, communication and action plans are in place and effective.
Support staff wellbeing and assist practitioners with complex clients when needed.
Communication
Build strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
Maintain contemporary knowledge of sector developments and participate in networks and conferences when delegated.
Promote transparent communication across teams, stakeholders and the community.
Organisational Responsibilities

Promote a safe, respectful, inclusive environment for clients and staff.
Maintain organisational reputation and comply with legal and funding requirements.
Marketing & Public Relations
Build and maintain strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
Stay informed on sector changes and promote positive organisational culture and loyalty.
Oversee external communications and represent the organisation at relevant events.
Other Duties
Attend leadership and team meetings.
Support management of organisational registers such as Continuous Improvement, Incidents and Complaints.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Extensive experience supporting people with psychosocial disability, complex behavioural needs and high support requirements within a systems and family-centred context.
Proven leadership experience supervising and mentoring Positive Behaviour Support practitioners and interdisciplinary teams, including those in remote regions.
Strong commitment to dignity, respect, inclusion, empowerment, confidentiality and strengths-based, evidence-based practice.
Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and evaluate training and reflective practice sessions for individuals and groups.
Advanced skills in assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing behaviour support interventions using contemporary, evidence-based models (e.g. Positive Behaviour Support).
Experience providing clinical intervention and treatment, and supporting continuous improvement in practice quality.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary contexts, using initiative and creative problem-solving.
High-level written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, documentation, presentations, negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
Strong computer and documentation skills for creating plans, programs, reports and organisational correspondence.
Ability to guide teams in achieving participant and family outcomes, offering education, consultation and clinical guidance in positive behaviour support.
In order to apply for this role, you must be a currently registered NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, preferably Advanced.
Tertiary degree qualification in Psychology and or Registered as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Tertiary qualification in counselling with a current registration' with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
Tertiary qualification in Social Work and Registered with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline - Education, psychology, behavioural science, applied behaviour analysis, counselling, or mental health.
Positive Behaviour Support Education or Qualification (e.g., Monash, Flinders).
