Supplier Manager – Personal Injury – Sydney, NSWAbout The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to partner closely with Underwritten Workers Compensation teams and their service providers to drive strong performance, governance, and relationships. You will have a deep understanding of the personal injury ecosystem and work collaboratively with providers to ensure they deliver high‐quality, cost‐effective services that achieve optimal recovery, return‐to‐work and claims outcomes. This role plays a key part in managing provider relationships across the lifecycle, from onboarding and engagement through to performance optimisation and renewal, ensuring providers are supported, accountable, and aligned with Allianz's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Building a strong understanding of Personal Injury provider types (e.g. medical, rehabilitation, medicolegal, legal and related services) and how they contribute to claims and customer outcomes.
* Partnering with the business to identify, onboard and engage providers, applying appropriate levels of oversight while maintaining a strong focus on performance and value.
* Facilitating end‐to‐end provider lifecycle activities including onboarding, renewals, variations, and exits, with a focus on continuity of service and customer experience.
* Actively managing provider relationships, influencing behaviours and working collaboratively to improve service quality, customer outcomes, cost effectiveness, and timeliness.
* Supporting performance discussions with providers, monitoring agreed terms, rates, service delivery standards, and outcome measures, and addressing underperformance where required.
* Using insights and data to drive meaningful conversations with internal teams and providers about outcomes, innovation, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g. Procurement, Corporate Legal, Risk and Compliance and Cyber) to ensure provider governance routines support Allianz standards and policies and regulatory expectations.
* Supporting identification and resolution of provider risk issues, including technology and cyber‐related matters, in partnership with internal teams.
About You
* Demonstrated experience working with Personal Injury providers, provider networks, or service partners within insurance, health, or injury management environments.
* Strong capability in performance management, including the ability to assess service quality, outcomes, costs, and customer experience, and hold providers to account.
* Proven ability to build and maintain trusted, productive relationships with external providers and internal stakeholders.
* Commercial mindset with experience negotiating agreements to achieve value and mutually beneficial outcomes.
* Sound understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory obligations in a Personal Injury or health‐related context, without losing sight of customer and provider outcomes.
* Confident problem‐solver with the ability to address complex provider‐related issues pragmatically and collaboratively.
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing resources and demands.
* Interest in innovation and continuous improvement, including how digital tools and emerging technologies can enhance provider management and outcomes.
* A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
